The Anna+Anton Olson Legacy Foundation was created to honor the lives of Anna and Anton Olson…Swedish Emigrants and Texas Famers.
By researching emigration/immigration archives, historical documents, and family records, Anna and Anton’s grandson, Larry Anton Olson, will chronicle his grandparent’s journey from their small Swedish villages in Skåne (1902) and Värmland (1907) to the Texas farm they bought outside of Taylor in 1935. On this fertile farmland located in the Blackland Prairie region of Texas, they brought up their family and worked the farm until their passing in 1963 (Anna) and 1969 (Anton).
They had hoped someday to travel back to Sweden to visit their families in Skåne and Värmland, but never realized that dream.
